Gach bliain, bíonn Seachtain na Gaeilge ar siúl ag tús Mí na Márta. Déanann na múinteoirí agus na páistí iarracht speisialta an Ghaeilge a labhairt i rith Seachtain na Gaeilge.
Ar an gCéadaoin 16ú Márta, chuir na páistí Taispeántas ar siúl.
Every year, Seachtain na Gaeilge is celebrated nationally during the beginning of March and up to St. Patrick's Day. At St.Sylvester's the teachers and children make a special effort to speak 'as Gaeilge'. Elements of Irish culture, such as Myths and Legends, traditional dance and music are also taught.
On Wednesday 16th March 2011 the children have their annual Taispeántas. .
Each class perform a Dán (poem) and amhrain (song) for their year groups. It is the Junior Infants first chance of stepping onto our stage in the hall.
Everyone enjoys the day. A huge thanks to everyone for the effort they make to ensure the day is a success - the children, their teachers, and Richard the caretaker. Tá an chraic go h-iontach!
