Hello boys and girls!

How have you all been?  It has been a long time since I have written to you all but I have visited many of you on my weekend trips to your houses.  What classroom are you in now?  Who is your new teacher?  What Christmas play do you have?

There is a very special reason why I am writing to you today.  Do you know what special event is happening all week in our school?  That's right!!  It is our road safety week.  This week is very important for our school getting our Green - Schools Travel Flag.  We have many super activities all week to help us learn about road safety just like we had for last year's road safety week.

Our Junior Infant classes in rooms 5, 6, 7, 9, 10 are getting a visitor on Tuesday and Wednesday.  You might have seen this person help us cross the road outside the school everyday.  Do you know who it is?  That's right, it is Heather.  Do you know what Heather's job is called?  That's right too, she is our lollipop lady.

Our Senior Infant classes in rooms 11, 12, 15, 16, 17 got a visitor on Monday.  Do you remember who it was?  What did they talk to you about?

This Friday we are also having our 'Feet First Friday' again.  On 'Feet First Friday', we try to come to school in a 'green' way.  What 'green' ways can you come to school?  What should you wear when you are coming to school?  Where should you cross the road when coming to school and going home?

I cannot wait to hear all of your stories about road safety week and if you are very good, listen to your teacher about road safety and try your hardest I might send another letter about some of my adventures very soon.

Bye - bye!!
Cody
